Privacy Policy
RememberLast ("the App") is an offline-first last-done tracker developed by Avenzor. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.
Introduction
RememberLast helps you track when you last did everyday activities — such as watering plants, washing your car, or calling family. The App is designed to work entirely offline. Your activity data stays on your device unless you choose to export it.
Information We Collect
The App stores the following information locally on your device only:
- Activities you create (titles, optional notes, reminder settings)
- Categories you create (names and colors)
- Log entries (when you did an activity, optional notes)
- App preferences (such as light or dark theme)
All of this information is entered by you or generated by the App based on your use. We do not collect your activity content on any server.
How Data Is Stored
Your data is stored locally using:
- SQLite database — activities, categories, and log history
- Shared preferences — theme, first-launch settings, and analytics consent
The database file remains in the App's private storage on your device. We do not transmit your activity data to external servers.
Analytics (Optional, Consent-Based)
If you opt in, the App uses Mixpanel to collect anonymous usage analytics, such as:
- Which screens you visit
- When you log an activity (without sending activity titles, notes, or categories)
Analytics are disabled by default. The App asks for your consent on first launch, and you can turn analytics on or off anytime in Settings → Privacy → Usage analytics.
When analytics are enabled, the App sends event data to Mixpanel over the internet. Mixpanel may receive an anonymous device identifier. We do not use analytics for advertising.
If you decline analytics or turn them off later, no usage analytics are sent.
What We Do Not Collect
RememberLast does not collect, request, or use:
- Personal accounts, sign-in, or authentication
- Name, email address, phone number, or contact lists
- Location data
- Advertising identifiers
- Photos, camera, microphone, or other media
- Your activity titles, notes, or other personal content in analytics events
The App works without an internet connection for its core features.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your activity data with third parties.
The only ways data leaves your device are:
- Optional analytics — only if you opt in (see Analytics section above)
- Backup export — when you choose to export a JSON backup and share it through another app (such as email or cloud storage). We have no access to exported files.
Third-Party Services
- Mixpanel — optional, consent-based usage analytics (see Analytics section above)
- Platform file and share capabilities — used when you back up or restore data; those actions are initiated by you
RememberLast does not integrate advertising or cloud-sync SDKs for your activity data.
Permissions
RememberLast requests no sensitive permissions on Android or iOS for its core functionality (such as location, contacts, camera, or microphone).
On Android, the App may request network access so that optional analytics can be sent when you have opted in. Core activity tracking does not require network access.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data remains on your device until you delete it or remove the App.
You can:
- Delete individual activities or log entries inside the App
- Remove all App data by uninstalling RememberLast
Deleted data cannot be recovered unless you have kept a backup export.
Backup and Export
You may export your data as a JSON backup file and import it later on the same or another device. Backup and import are optional and user-controlled. Keep exported files secure if they contain personal notes.
Children's Privacy
RememberLast is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us and we will help you remove it from the device.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
